Safety Alert |
|
● Always wear safety equipments such as “safety goggles”, “work gloves” or other safety equipments, and confirm the safety of circumstances when using any working tools. (Figure A)
● Always wear safety goggles when using any hammers.
● Never remodel any working tools; welding or cutting process to the tools will remarkably decrease the strength and can be the source of accident or damage to the tools.
● Always use the correct working tools for the job; otherwise, unexpected damage can be caused to the tools.
● Hammers are the tools that produce larger force given from smaller force by its centrifugal force. Always use the hammers only for driving the unhardened nails into wooden materials.
● Hammers are hardened by heat treatment. Never strike hammers against any hardened objects to avoid “chip” or “crack” to the hammers. Striking the hammers against another hammers is especially dangerous. (Figure B)
● Always use the correct hammers for the job; otherwise, unexpected damage can be caused to the hammers.
● The judgment that hammers can strike any objects is dangerous. The hammers are manufactured for various suitable purposes such as for striking nails, bricks, iron materials, or wooden materials. Never strike nails or chisels with brick hammers. Chip or damage of the hammers can cause injuries. Unsuitable uses of the hammers can be the source of accident or damage to the hammers.
● Never use the hammers when they are “chipped”, “cracked”, “dented”, “deformed”, or “wobbling”.
● Always strike surface squarely using the center of the hammer face. Always avoid glancing blows and over and under strikes that can be the sources of damage to the hammers. (Figure C)
● Confirm all the above instructions for the wooden handle hammers and its wooden handles are not “chipped”, “cracked” or “split” before use of the wooden handle hammers. Never use the hammers and replace the wooden handles when any of the above inferiors are shown. (Figure D)
● Always use the suitable DOGYU brand replacement wooden handles for the wooden handle hammers when replacing the wooden handles. Drive wedges into the center of the wooden handles to confirm the wooden handles are not wobbled before use of the wooden handle hammers.
● Drive the proper size of wedges into the wooden handles to securely fix to the heads of the hammers before use of the wooden handle hammers when the wooden handles are wobbling. Use the proper size of the wedges which is 1/2~2/3 of the depth of the hammer heads; using the wedges that are bigger than the proper size will decrease the strength of the wooden handles and can cause the crack on the wooden handles. (Figure E)
● Confirm all the above instructions for the steel handle hammers and its steel shaft handles do not have “deformation”, “burr” or “loose of the grips” before use of the steel handle hammers. The rubber grips change in quality with deformation by abrasion and the oil. Never wear the gloves that are soaked into the oil to hold the grips. Never use the steel handle hammers when its rubber grips have “deformation”, “loose of the grips”, or “stains”. Never use the steel handle hammers when its heads are “coming off” or “wobbling”.
● Confirm all the above instructions for the fiberglass handle hammers and its fiberglass handles are not “deformed”, “cracked”, “wobbled”, or “split” before use of the fiberglass handle hammers. Never use the fiberglass handle hammers when its rubber grips have “deformation”, “loose of the grips”, or “stains”. Never use the fiberglass handle hammers when its heads are “coming off” or “wobbling”.
● Confirm all the above instructions for the claw hammers and its claw sections are not “cracked” or “deformed” before use of the claw hammers.
● Claw hammers are the tools that pull the unhardened nails out from wooden materials. Never use the claw hammers as the substitute for levers or as any of other substitutes.
● Excessive force added by inserting pipes to the shafts can be the source of accident or damage to the hammers. Never use the claw hammers as the substitute for levers or for unsuitable uses of the claw hammers.
● Confirm all the above instructions and the following instructions for the brick hammers before use.
● Brick hammers are used for plaster, block, or brick works. Always wear safety equipments such as safety goggles and "work gloves" and confirm the safety of circumstances when working with brick hammers which pebbles can be cracked and scattered.
● Brick hammers are manufactured for the purpose of work on “blocks”. Be aware of chips on corners of the hammers that are hardened by heat treatment. Never strike hammers against any hardened objects to avoid scattering of chips of the hammers.
● Confirm all the above instructions for the soft face hammers and its soft face tips are not “loosen” or “abraded” before use. Securely fix the soft face tips when they are “loosen”. Never use the soft face hammers when its soft face tips are “abraded”.
● Confirm the products are not “chipped”, ”loosen” or “deformed” for the axes, the hatchets or other products with blades, and the safety of circumstances before use. Never strike the axes, the hatchets, or other products with blades against any materials other than wooden materials to avoid “chip” to the products. (Figure F)
● Confirm the steel shaft handles do not have “deformation”, “burr” or “loose of the grips” before use of the steel handle axes, hatchets, or other products with blades.
● Confirm the wooden handles are not “chipped”, “cracked” or “split” before use of the wooden handle axes, hatchets, or other products with blades. Never use the products and replace the wooden handles when any of the above inferiors are shown.
● Bars or nail pullers are the tools that pull the unhardened nails out from wooden materials with leverage by hanging the heads of nails to the claws of the bars or the nail pullers. Never use the bars or nail pullers for as any of substitutes except for as the levers and nail pullers. (Figure G)
● Never use the bars or nail pullers when they are “chipped”, “cracked” or “deformed”.
● Never add excessive forces by inserting pipes to the bars or the nail pullers since they are hardened by heat treatment through the whole body. Never remodel the bars or the nail pullers; welding or cutting process to the tools will remarkably decrease the strength of the tools.
● Drop prevention cords are the codes that connect the working tools to the safety belts to prevent the tools from falling. Never use the ropes to connect over-weighted tools. Always confirm that the ropes are securely connected to the tools and the safety belts before use. (Figure I)
● Never use the cords when they are “tore in the film”, “abraded”, or “ripped”. Never use the cords when its metal fittings are “defected” or “deformed”.
● “Mini Cutters” and “Bold clippers” are the tools that cut steel wires. Always use the correct working tools for the job. Never twist the mini cutters and the bolt clippers while cutting to avoid chips of the blades and deformation of the frame.
